Need a replacement engine for your Toro equipment? This is a brand-new, genuine Kohler ZT740-3049 (Rehlko spec PA-ZT740-3049) 25 HP Confidant vertical-shaft engine with a 1" x 3-5/32" crankshaft — the engine spec used on Toro machines.

Before you order: confirm fitment

  • Check the engine tag on your Toro machine: it should read ZT740-3049 / PA-ZT740-3049 or an older spec this engine replaces (ZT720-3029, ZT730-3037, ZT730-3039, ZT740-3042, ZT740-3059).
  • Match crankshaft diameter and length, mounting pattern, PTO/clutch, fuel and wiring connections.
  • Not sure which engine your machine has? Call (646) 666-7225 with your machine model and serial number and we'll confirm the right spec.
