Before you order: confirm fitment

  • Check the engine tag on your MTD machine: it should read ZT740-3054 / PA-ZT740-3054 or an older spec this engine replaces (ZT710-3029, ZT720-3028, ZT730-3038, ZT730-3040, ZT740-3060).
  • Match crankshaft diameter and length, mounting pattern, PTO/clutch, fuel and wiring connections.
  • Not sure which engine your machine has? Call (646) 666-7225 with your machine model and serial number and we'll confirm the right spec.
