Service notes

  • Hydro-Gear's manual says the T2 is factory filled and sealed and does not require oil maintenance; an oil change requires removing the transaxle from the vehicle.
  • Oil: 20W-50 engine oil, about 65–70 fl oz depending on the housing.
  • After installing, purge air from the system following Hydro-Gear's procedure: wheels off the ground, engine at 3/4 to full throttle, cycle forward/reverse 5–6 times with the bypass open, then 5–6 times closed, and top up the oil.
