Service notes

  • Fluid: engine oil with a minimum of 55 SUS (9.0 cSt) at 230 °F and API SJ/CD; follow the vehicle manufacturer's recommendation. An inlet filter is required (25 micron nominal).
  • Bypass: a screw-type valve, opened no more than two turns to move the machine; keep it fully closed (clockwise) in normal operation.
  • After installing, purge air from the system following Hydro-Gear's procedure: drive wheels off the ground, cycle forward/reverse 5–6 times with the bypass open, then 5–6 times closed, and keep the reservoir topped up until the level stays constant.
