Service notes

  • Oil and filter: 20W-50 engine oil (biodegradable oils are not approved) and Hydro-Gear filter 71943. First change at 100 hours, then every 400 hours or yearly, whichever comes first.
  • Hydro-Gear's oil service kit 72881 covers the ZT-4400 and ZT-5400.
  • After installing, purge air from the system following Hydro-Gear's procedure: wheels off the ground, cycle forward/reverse 5–6 times with the bypass open, then 5–6 times closed, and top up the oil.
