Overview

Homelite 308744010 is the genuine grass deflector assembly (debris guard) for Homelite UT26CS-series and UT33600 / UT33650 gas string trimmers and brushcutters. The same guard is also used on several RYOBI gas trimmers, including the RY252CS, RY25CS and RY4CCS. It clamps to the trimmer shaft above the cutting head and keeps grass and debris thrown by the line away from the operator, so replace it if it is cracked, broken or missing.

Frequently asked questions

Which trimmers does 308744010 fit?

It fits Homelite UT26CS-series, UT33600 and UT33650 trimmers, plus RYOBI RY251PH, RY252CS, RY25CS and RY4CCS models (including their VNM versions). Check the model number on your trimmer's label against the full list above.

Is this a RYOBI or a Homelite part?

Both brands come from the same parent company (TTI) and share this guard. It is sold under part number 308744010 and fits the Homelite and RYOBI models listed on this page.

Is 308744010 the same as 308052010?

Homelite kit 308052010 contains one 308744010 guard. If you only need the deflector itself, 308744010 is the part to order.

Is this a genuine OEM part?

Yes. This is the genuine factory replacement guard sold under the OEM part number 308744010, not an aftermarket copy.

Can I run my trimmer without the grass deflector?

We don't recommend it. The guard shields you from grass, stones and debris thrown by the line, so replace a broken or missing guard before using the trimmer.
