Overview
The Generac 0E6154A is the genuine standby (lower) solenoid coil for Generac and Honeywell RTS-series 150 A and 200 A automatic transfer switches used with home standby generators. When the utility fails, this coil pulls the transfer mechanism over to the generator side; it works opposite the utility (upper) coil 0E6154. A burned-out standby coil can leave the switch unable to transfer to generator power even though the generator is running.
Key features
- Genuine Generac OEM coil, Generac description "Coil-HSB ATS Standby"
- Lower (standby-side) coil in 150 A and 200 A RTS-series transfer switches
- Pairs with the upper utility coil 0E6154 (sold separately)
- Used in the Generac 200 A transfer mechanism 0D9618 and its successor 0L2911
- Approx. 2-1/4 x 2-1/4 x 2-7/8 in., 1.08 lb (Generac data)
Fits
- Engines/Models: Generac and Honeywell R-series 150 A and 200 A transfer switches, including RTSC200A3, RTSW200A3, RTSX200A3, RTSD200A3, RTSS200A3, RTSJ200A3, RTSY200A3, RTSY150A3, RXSW200A3, RXSW150A3, RTSR200A3, RTSW150A3, RTSG150A3, RTSG200A3, RTSK200A3, RTSK150A3, RTSM150A3, RTSM200A3, RTSQ150A3, RTSQ200A3, RXSK200A3, RXSM200A3
- Typical equipment: Generac-built home standby generator systems with RTS-series automatic transfer switches
- How to confirm fitment: read the model number on the label inside the transfer switch enclosure (models start with RTS or RXS) and compare the coil position: 0E6154A is the lower standby coil, 0E6154 is the upper utility coil. 100 A switches use different coils. Transfer switches carry utility voltage, so have a licensed electrician or generator technician do the replacement. Send us the switch model and our team will confirm before you order.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Generac 0E6154 and 0E6154A?
0E6154 is the utility (upper) coil and 0E6154A is the standby (lower) coil in the same 150 A and 200 A RTS transfer switches. They are not interchangeable positions, so order the one that failed.
Which transfer switches use the 0E6154A coil?
Generac and Honeywell R-series 150 A and 200 A switches such as RTSW200A3, RTSC200A3, RXSW200A3, RTSY150A3 and RTSG200A3. See the full list above and confirm with your switch label.
How do I know the standby coil is bad?
The usual sign is a generator that starts and runs during an outage but the switch never transfers the load to it. A technician can confirm by checking coil resistance and the control signal.
Why did my transfer switch coil burn out?
A coil can overheat if the transfer mechanism binds or stays energized, for example when the manual handle or cover jams the mechanism. Make sure the mechanism moves freely before installing a new coil.
Does it fit a 100 A transfer switch?
No. 100 A RTS switches use different coils. This part is for the 150 A and 200 A RTS series.
Is this a genuine Generac part?
Yes. It is a new, genuine Generac service part.
