Generac 0E4395 Bosch 32 Governor Actuator for Generac Liquid-Cooled Generators (Electronic Governor / Throttle Actuator)

Overview

The Generac 0E4395 is the genuine Bosch 32 governor actuator used on Generac liquid-cooled generators with an electronic governor. It is the electronically driven throttle body the governor controller opens and closes to hold engine speed, and therefore output frequency, steady as the load changes. A worn or damaged actuator can make the generator surge, hunt or fail to hold speed; internal wear of the position wiper or gear teeth is a common failure.

Key features

  • Genuine Generac service part 0E4395 (Generac description: ACTUATOR BOSCH 32 GOVERNOR)
  • Bosch electronic throttle body with integral actuator motor and wiring connector
  • Meters the air-fuel charge to the engine to regulate speed under changing load
  • Sold as the actuator; order the mounting gasket separately if yours is not reusable

Fits

  • Engines/Models: Generac generator sets built with the Bosch 32 electronic governor actuator, part 0E4395
  • Typical equipment: Generac liquid-cooled standby generators with electronic governing
  • Related sizes: Generac also uses Bosch 40 (0E4394), Bosch 60 (0E4392) and Bosch 68 (0E4396) actuators. These are separate part numbers, so order the size your generator's parts list calls for.
  • How to confirm fitment: check the part number on your existing actuator or in the parts manual for your generator's model and serial number, and send it to us. Our team will confirm before we ship.

Frequently asked questions

What does a Generac governor actuator do?

It is the throttle unit the electronic governor controls. By opening and closing, it meters the air-fuel charge so the engine holds a steady speed, and the generator a steady frequency, as the load changes.

What are the signs of a failing actuator?

Surging, hunting or an engine that will not hold speed under load are typical. Internal damage to the position wiper or gear teeth is a common cause.

Is the Bosch 32 (0E4395) the same as the Bosch 40, 60 or 68?

No. Generac lists 0E4394 (Bosch 40), 0E4392 (Bosch 60) and 0E4396 (Bosch 68) as separate part numbers. Order the number on your old actuator or in your generator's parts list.

Does the 0E4395 come with a gasket?

The gasket is a separate Generac part and is not included with the actuator. Send us your generator model and serial number and we can quote the correct gasket with your order.

Is this a genuine Generac part?

Yes. This is genuine Generac part 0E4395, new, supplied through Generac's service parts channel.
