Overview
The Generac 0E2507 is a genuine coolant level probe for liquid-cooled Generac standby generators. It threads into the engine's cooling system with a 3/8" NPTF pipe thread and tells the generator controller when the coolant level is low, so the unit can raise its low-coolant alarm instead of running without enough coolant. The same part number is used on Generac-built generators sold under names such as Guardian and Honeywell.
Key features
- Genuine Generac part number 0E2507 (Generac description: PROBE, COOLANT LEVEL 3/8NPTF)
- 3/8" NPTF tapered pipe thread for a sealed fit in the coolant system
- Brass hex body with an insulated sensing tip and plug-in connector housing
- Made in the USA
- Small and light: ships in a 2 x 4 x 2 in. package
Check your controller first
On some controllers Generac now recommends an update kit instead of the bare probe. The kits pair a newer probe with a harness and signal conditioner to prevent the buildup that can cause older probes to read falsely:
- R-200, R-200A, R-200B, R-200C controllers: update kit 0H50540SRV
- G-panel and H-panel controllers: update kit 0H50530SRV
- All other applications: continue to use 0E2507
Fits
- Engines/Models: Liquid-cooled Generac standby and industrial generators whose parts list calls for 0E2507, including Generac-built Guardian and Honeywell models
- Typical equipment: home and commercial standby generators with liquid-cooled engines
- How to confirm: read the model and serial number from the generator's data label and note your controller type (R-200 family, G/H panel or other). Send us those details and our team will confirm whether 0E2507 or an update kit is the right part.

Frequently asked questions
What does the Generac 0E2507 do?
It senses coolant in the engine's cooling system and signals the controller when the level drops too low, which lets the generator raise its low-coolant alarm.
What thread size is the 0E2507 probe?
3/8" NPTF (tapered pipe thread). Some look-alike probes are 1/4" NPTF, so check the thread on your old probe before ordering.
Should I order the 0E2507 or an update kit?
For R-200, R-200A, R-200B and R-200C controllers the recommended replacement is kit 0H50540SRV, and for G-panel and H-panel controllers it is kit 0H50530SRV. For other applications, 0E2507 remains the correct part.
Will it fit my Guardian or Honeywell generator?
Generac built those generators, and 0E2507 is used on liquid-cooled models whose parts list calls for it. Send us your model and serial number and we will confirm.
Is this a genuine Generac part?
Yes. This is new, genuine Generac part 0E2507, not an aftermarket copy.
Why does my generator show a low coolant fault when the coolant is full?
A coated or failing probe can give false low-coolant readings, which is why Generac released the update kits for R-200 and G/H panel controllers. Have a qualified technician confirm the coolant level and wiring before replacing the probe.
